Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act

On April 28 of this year, Representative Susan Brooks of Indiana introduced H.R. 2228, the Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act.

In a letter to the editor posted on indystar.com, Brooks explains that police officers often deal with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and PTSD due to their jobs, but much of this goes untreated. Her goal with the Wellness Act is to provide more and better services to officers who need it.
